Ford on Monday announced the recall of 465,000 cars in the 2013 model around the world. The withdrawal was carried out to improve the possibility of fuel leaks that could potentially lead to a fire.
Models
drawn vehicle production in 2013 include the Ford Explorer, Taurus,
Flex, Fusion, Interceptor Utility, Interceptor Sedan, as well as Lincoln
MKS, MKT and MKZ, Ford said.
Fuel delivery module in cars that could leak and customers have reported fuel odor and signs of fuel leaks into the ground.
"There has been no reports of fires," said Ford. "We are not aware of any accidents or injuries associated with this condition."
Most
of the cars in question reportedly sold in the United States and
Canada, but around 53,000 cars delivered to the markets of other
countries.
