In 1947 appeared Nissan Tama EV (electric vehicle) that was born from the allied forces trying to limit the supply of fuel to the country as a consequence of the Rising Sun country that lost the war.
This is a two-door car lead-acid battery powered which developed in post-war by aircraft engineers of the company Tachikawa Airplane Company. The company eventually changed its name to Tokyo Electric Motorcar Co..
The company again changed to Prince Motor Company and later joined by Nissan, which makes electric cars Tama, although not too strong, actually become part of the heritage of Nissan electric vehicles.
When testing by Japanese Ministry of transportation, Tama managed to roam as far as 96.3 km for all 'charge' with a maximum speed of 35.4 km / h using the motor voltage 36 volts.
One inherited by Tama is a front opening hood as the mouth of a crocodile that was not common at the time, but is now embraced by almost all types of cars.
