Ford Earned International Engine of The Year on EcoBoost Engine

Ford Motor Company earned 'International Engine of the Year' in 2012 on 1.0-liter EcoBoost engine new. Ford manufactures 1.0-liter EcoBoost engine at its plant in Craiova since May 2012. Engine Ford EcoBoost 1.0-liter three-cylinder engine will be mounted on Ford cars until 2015. The entire new Ford cars until 2015, 4800,000 units of some models will carry this EcoBoost engine.
Three-cylinder engine that's small but sophisticated also won 'Best New Engine' and 'Best Engine 1.0-liter Under' in 2012, based on voting involving 76 journalists from 35 countries around the world by the magazine Engine Technology International.
Machines, which are small enough to be put on a piece of A4 paper is designed in the center of Ford engineers at Dunton, England, and Merkenich, Germany. This machine is made in the Ford plant in Craiova, Romania, and Cologne, Germany.
Focus EcoBoost 1.0-liter 100 PS produces CO2 emissions of 109 g / km and fuel savings of 4.8 l/100 km (58.9 mpg) the best in its class. The model produces 125 PS 5.0 l/100 km (56.5 mpg) and CO2 emissions of 114 g / km.
Both versions use a low-inertia turbo that can generate power quickly when the gas pedal is pressed ranging from a low RPM and produces high power at speeds up to 28,000 RPM.
